The Taiwan News reported that the five attractions, which will be named in May, will each be given TW$300 million (US$8.9 million) over two years to upgrade facilities and attract investment.
The move is part of Taiwan ’s TW$550 billion tourism-stimulation plan, which aims to create 400,000 jobs, attract private investment worth NT$200 billion and bring in world famous hotel chains.
